WB Samuel Warren Lester - 1894

Meet our first mystery... WB and Doctor Samuel Warren Lester, 1894.

Samuel Warren Lester, according to the 1860 and 1870 Census Records, was the son of William G. (and Coach/Carriage Maker) and Leonora E. Lester, of Carnesville, Georgia, and elder brother to Mary E., Edward, and Harriet Lester.

Very little is known of WB Lester's life, other than he joined the Fraternity in Carnesville Lodge No. 186, F&AM, in 1874, and was a founding member of Lavonia Lodge No. 241, F&AM (Resolution of Respect from Lavonia Lodge No. 241 Minutes).

According to the 1880 Census Records, WB Lester was a practicing physician in Lavonia, and a May 3, 1887 article from the Weekly Banner-Watchman (Athens) reads that he was working in the area at that time.

According to the minutes of Lavonia Lodge No. 241, F&AM, WB Lester died during the final month of his year as Master.
